Fairview, Tennessee, in Williamson county, is 22 miles SW of Nashville, Tennessee. The city is included in the Nashville metropolitan area. As of the year 2000 census, 5,800 people lived in Fairview.
Fairview History
Fairview was officially incorporated as a city in 1959, under the Uniform City Manager-Commission Charter. Williamson County was the site for a number of major battles during the Civil War, including the Battle of Brentwood and the Battle of Franklin. The county has more historical sites than in any county outside of Virginia.
