North Bay Village History

The area, which is now called North Bay Village, was earlier under the waters of Biscayne Bay. Broadcast Key was the only dry land. In the year 1940, North Bay Island was formed by bulk-heading and dredging. The community of North Bay Village was officially incorporated in 1945. The area used to be a haven for winter residents. North Bay Village is home to the most popular nightclubs and restaurants of South Florida.
