Located in Weld county, Windsor, Colorado, is 10 miles NE of Loveland, Colorado (center to center) and 51 miles N of Denver, Colorado. The town is conveniently located inside the Fort Collins - Loveland metropolitan area. There are an estimated 9,896 people living in Windsor.

Windsor History

Windsor was created when a man named J.L. Hilton settled down in a house built between Greeley and Fort Colons in 1873; Hilton was the first settler to the area. Soon after, the town was taken over by the Greeley, Pacific and Salt Lake railway; the Windsor Railroad Depot was established in 1882. Windsor was officially incorporated into the state into the State in 1890.
