Trinidad History

The name Trinidad derives from the Spanish word for 'trinity', though the settlement, was supposedly named after the daughter of an early resident, named Trinidad Baca. The city was officially incorporated into the state in the year 1879. Trivially, Trinidad also holds residence to the highest number of sex-change operation doctors living in the country.
